AI Engineer - 36-40 hours

As an AI engineer, you make our chatbots smarter and more personal, so they can help customers in a friendlier and more efficient way. You guide LLM’s with smart prompts and build prototype agents in Python using LangChain. You analyze the model output (of course with AI too) and use your findings to improve the agent. This way, you make our chatbots a little better every day.

What do you do as an AI Engineer at Coolblue?

As an AI Engineer, you design and build smart, conversational customer journeys. You make our chatbots a little smarter and faster every day, so customers are better served. You write the prompt, build the prototype and check on a large scale whether the results are correct. Every day, you work on creating and improving multi-agent setups. In doing so, you use frameworks such as LangChain. You develop prototypes and carry out systematic evaluations, for example using evals and LLM-as-a-judge, to measure the quality and performance of AI. You look for ways to make chatbot interactions more natural and reliable. You also actively think about new applications of AI within existing processes. As a future AI engineer, you will of course write your cover letter with AI. So don’t upload a letter; upload the prompt you would use to generate it instead. This gives us an early taste of your skills.

• Work intensively with various domains to discover AI applications in their field.
• Experiment with new generative AI models from, for example, OpenAI, Google and Anthropic.
• Demonstrate value by creating prototypes in Langchain.
• Systematically evaluate results by automatically testing prompts not 1 times, but 1000 times.
• Share your knowledge through demos, training sessions and by acting as a sounding board within Coolblue.

This sounds like you

• A completed university degree. Experience with AI from your studies is a plus.
• At least 3 years of work experience in a technical, data-driven environment, preferably in a Scrum team.
• Demonstrable experience with Python. Experience with LangChain or other AI frameworks is a plus.
• An insatiable hunger for everything related to Generative AI.
• Know how to outsmart ChatGPT with your prompts.
• Analytical and pragmatic, and not afraid of a hacky solution.
• An exceptionally strong communicator in both Dutch and English.
