What do you do as an Analytics Engineer at Coolblue?

As an Analytics Engineer at Coolblue, you build data models that make a difference. You ensure that teams such as Marketing, Operations or Finance can make smarter and faster decisions. You work closely with data engineers to properly connect raw source data. You also collaborate with analysts and product owners on what is really needed. You think like a business partner, but build like an engineer. This way, you make our data side a little better every day.

  • Build clear, scalable and tested data models with SQL and dbt.
  • Discuss data structures with analysts and product owners to align them.
  • Work with data engineers on smarter pipelines and architecture.
  • Clean, validate and make data available for analyses.
  • Use version control, CI/CD and peer reviews as standard.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues through documentation, coaching and code reviews.
  • Set up data in a modular and maintainable way for long-term use.
  • Connect technology and business logically with smart solutions.
  • Keep your knowledge up to date with new tools and techniques.

This is what you bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in analytics engineering or technical data roles.
  • Comfortable with SQL and a programming language such as Python.
  • Experience with dbt and cloud platforms such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
  • Understand how to set up and optimize data warehouses, pipelines and flows.
  • Familiar with visualization tools such as Looker or something similar.
  • Knowledge of data observability tools such as Monte Carlo is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, including with colleagues without a technical background.
