Financial Strategic Analyst - 40 hour

As a Financial Strategy Analyst, you translate figures into strategic choices that make a difference. You have an internal advisory role in which you are not just working in Excel, but also bring all your stakeholders along in your story and convince them of your analyses. You work with management, operations and other teams to use your insights to make Coolblue a little better every day. You think analytically and in a structured way, present convincingly and effortlessly take the lead in strategic projects.

What do you do as a Financial Strategy Analyst at Coolblue?

As a Financial Strategy Analyst, you are involved in major strategic projects from start to finish. In addition, you are responsible for financial forecasting for all of Coolblue. You work closely with management and the Head of Control. You dive into the figures, draw clear conclusions and tell the story behind the numbers. As the owner of your projects, you ensure that good ideas do not remain on paper but are translated into concrete actions. Meanwhile, you learn a lot from and with your teammates – other Financial Strategy Analysts – and ensure that both you and Coolblue become a little better every day. Among other things, you will work on:

• Creating strategic analyses that genuinely impact Coolblue’s results. You are not standing on the sidelines, but work with internal stakeholders to provide the best possible advice.
• Developing business cases around themes such as operational efficiency, logistics, new propositions or ESG.
• Translating your advice into clear action plans for management and teams.
• Ensuring progress on projects, taking the lead and bringing others along in your story.
• Working with driven colleagues who are just as ambitious as you are.

This sounds like you

• A university bachelor's and master's degree in, for example, Business Economics, Finance, Quantitative Finance, Strategic Management, (Technical) Business Administration, CEMS, Data Science, Business Analytics.
• Relevant internship or work experience, for example in consulting or finance.
• Extracurricular experience is a plus.
• A passion for numbers and the ability to translate them into practical strategy.
• Strong in Excel or Sheets, and strong at conveying your story convincingly, with and without slides.
• A proactive attitude with which you continuously look for improvement.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
