As a Junior Media Consultant, you are the point of contact for suppliers and responsible for generating media revenue for your team. You create profitable media plans using online, in-store, above-the-line and Coolblue channels. This way, you help suppliers grow, make smart use of commercial opportunities and ensure strong campaigns that deliver results.

What do you do as a Junior Media Consultant at Coolblue?

As a Junior Media Consultant, you translate suppliers’ goals, budgets and product launches into smart campaigns. You create media plans, pitch proposals and negotiate budgets, timing and terms. Think of a product launch or, for example, a Black Friday campaign that you promote through online, in-store and Coolblue channels. You then coordinate your plan internally with your category team, so your buyer and inventory planner can make sure the right deals and stock are in place. Once the campaign has ended, you analyze data, discuss improvements with suppliers and make adjustments. This is how you make Coolblue’s media revenue a little better every day. This is what you enjoy doing:

  • Getting a clear picture of supplier goals and commercial priorities.
  • Creating media plans for each product, channel and timing.
  • Negotiating budgets, timing and terms.
  • Building relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Growing revenue and media budgets within your portfolio.
  • Analyzing results and using them to optimize new plans.

This is what you bring

  • A completed degree from a university of applied sciences or a research university in marketing, economics or business administration.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience, for example in marketing, sales, account management or consulting.
  • You have an excellent command of the Dutch language.
  • Commercial insight and a feel for media and sales.
  • Strong supplier relationship management skills.
  • Good at negotiating, prioritizing and driving results.
  • Confident in conversations with account managers and senior management.

What else are you looking for in a job

  • Money.
  • With more than 30 training courses at our own Studiefabriek, you can become a little better every day.
  • Discount on everything we sell.
  • An unbelievably great working atmosphere. With colleagues who make you happy, epic parties, pub quizzes and other team activities.
  • 25 vacation days. If you promise you'll come back.
  • Travel allowance, pension scheme and where-you-work money.
  • An office you'll want to take pictures of, in a prime location. From Rotterdam Central Station, it's 3 falls before you get there. Okay, it's a 2-minute walk.
  • At the moment, we work hybrid: that means a combination of working in the office and working from home. Of course, we'll make sure you have a top-notch workspace at home. Including an office chair, laptop and blue streamers.
  • Challenging work to completely immerse yourself in, so that you occasionally forget you're working.
  • A flat organization in the broadest sense of the word. So you can simply have a beer with the boss.
